The Start of Your Journey in Psychosynthesis

This dynamic and stimulating course provides tools and techniques that have a direct application to both personal and professional development - as well as being the essential entry point to professional training in psychosynthesis.

Essentials is a unique opportunity to further your personal journey.

The course is a blend of deep experiential and theoretical work and comprises an intense 50 hour experience spread over five days.

Students have told us that they find the experience of Essentials both moving and life enhancing - quite apart from the stimulating introduction to a new model of the mind and some fresh therapeutic methods.

How the course has affected recent students:
"A fantastic course! ... I have done many self development courses over the years. This one was different. While other courses have helped me find ways of being focused and achieving results that I thought I wanted, essentials helped me start to see the me inside that was making the choices and come to understand what my inner motivations were. By the end of the course I felt I had explored many different aspects of my being in a held & structured environment that allowed me to be in touch with my feelings and express them constructively ... I would recommend it to anyone. " "Experiencing the Essentials course was like ‘coming home’. I have always been keen on my own self-development, but I often feel the importance of this is diluted by people around me who do not overtly share the same interest. So being with a group of people who did understand and were so supportive and encouraging of this was incredibly refreshing and something I had wanted to experience for a long time. I really felt like I could be myself."

"The Essentials was a lovely weekend - healing, tough at times, unique. It started a process which has led to much improved relationship with my brother. I hope to study the full course soon."

Personal Growth
As an integral part of the London-based course, and included in the price, each person has an individual hour long session with an experienced psychosynthesis counsellor.
This offers the opportunity to experience psychosynthesis as applied to one-to-one counselling. The course also facilitates a unique opportunity to be involved in observation of other individual sessions and to talk to experienced counsellors and therapists about their practice.

(Note: Individual sessions do not form part of the residential programmes)

Further Training
The essentials course is a also prerequisite of the Trust's Postgraduate Diploma Course in Psychosynthesis Counselling (validated by the University of East London and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), the Graduate Certificate in Psychosythesis Counselling and Therapy, and the MA Degree in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy leading to United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy registration.
"Five days is a big commitment...
...how can I find out about psychosynthesis more quickly?"

We have a one-day course 'A Taste of Psychosynthesis' which introduces the fundamentals - and might help you decide whether the 5-day course is right for you. Click here for details.
