The aims of the programmme
The aims of the one year programme are to:

develop a basic understanding of the psychological and developmental
models of adolescence, in a practical way, including the development
of emotional literacy in young people; |

study the dynamics of group work and facilitation and processes
that affects the delivery of programmes for at risk young people;

| > |
study the psychosynthesis model of human development as an educational
model for working with human potential, and as a way of perceiving
adolescent development and its application for understanding oneself
and relationship to others; |
| > |
provide a personal development model, which aims to provide awareness
that is crucial in establishing good working relationships with young
people, and for creating a learning community. |
Programme Structure
The programme is one double module, one-year part time mode with four
components:

Adolescent and Youth Development |
| Focus of the component: |
exploration of adolescent development and identity, the challenges
young people face in a modern world, emotional literacy, how adolescents
their pathways in the world, viewed through psychosynthesis as a core
model. |

| Component 2 |
Group Work and Group Facilitation |
| Focus of the component: |
learning psychosynthesis models of group development and dynamics
and facilitation, and processes that affects the delivery of programmes
for at risk young people. |

| Component 3 |
Psychosynthesis as a Model of Transpersonal Education |
| Focus of the component: |
to study the psychosynthesis model of human development as an educational
model for working with human potential, and as a way of perceiving
adolescent development and its application for understanding oneself
and relationship to others. |

| Component 4 |
Application of Psychosynthesis Youth Work |
| Focus of the component: |
learning to apply the theories, models, techniques and skills of
psychosynthesis to work with young people and the gaining of practical
experience in working with challenging young people within a placement
setting, with reflective learning supported through supervision. |

Entry Requirements:
Relevant experience and interest in the field.
Completion of the University Certificate:
A certificate of study will be awarded upon the successful completion of
the University Certificate in Psychosynthesis Youth Work and Group Facilitation.
Format:
Whilst we aim to be flexible as possible to enable participants to attend
the programme, our flexibility depends on the number of students applying
