Find a Counsellor or Therapist

There are two main ways you can find a psychosythesis trained counsellor or therapist:

The PET Counselling Service The Trust operates its own, professionally managed, Counselling Referral Service. This is particularly suitable for clients who might be less confident about contacting a therapist directly, and who would like help and advice during this process of finding a counsellor and on what counselling might involve. The Counselling Service Manager will assess and place clients with a specific counsellor that best fits their needs based on many different factors including age, gender, sexuality, cost and location.

The service consists of a range of professional and experienced therapists, all qualified through the Trust's training programme. To become a part of the Counselling Service, our counsellors have gone through a rigorous interview process, which ensures that they all meet the very high standards of professionalism and experience that the Trust expects of them. All of the counsellors subscribe to the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and/or the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).

Low Cost Scheme. The Counselling Service also offers a low cost counselling scheme. This means that if you feel you need counselling but don’t feel you are able to pay the full fee, we can probably help to place you with one of our training counsellors who would be supervised here at the Trust.

Find a Counsellor via the Counselling Service

The Psychosynthesis Professional Association is the professional association of psychosynthetis trained therapists. Members of the association who are available for consultation have their details listed for you to contact them if you wish. Find a Therapist via the Psychosynthesis Professional Association (PPA) list.*
