Workshops and Lectures

"Be joyful because it is humanly possible."

You are probably well aware of the proliferation of opportunities for professional development and continuous learning in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.  This is, at least in part, a response to the fact that both the UKCP and BACP now require that a portfolio of continuous learning is presented in order to be re-accredited as a practitioner.  Even if you have not pursued either of these professional routes you will be well aware of the need to keep up to date with developments in your own core model as well as for development across models.

This page is to inform you of some of our exciting lectures and workshops we hold at the Trust.  The lectures and workshops are designed to help meet your own needs for professional stimulation and collegial support as well as fulfilling any requirements you have for re-accreditation.

Not only do our workshops and lectures appeal to graduates seeking professional development, we hope they will also appeal to anyone who wishes to seek personal development.
There are lecture evenings which are an informal and friendly way for you to discover more about a topic of interest to you, to ask the lecturer questions and find out about further study. Some of the lectures have an optional, follow-up workshop.
Our workshops are run over one, two or three days, giving you the chance to explore a topic in more depth. Generally, the workshops will consist of a balance between theoretical input and experiential exercises. They will be relevant for both personal and professional development.

We hope you will be inspired to attend one of the topics on offer, and look forward to welcoming you here at the Trust.
